Ordination of Bishop Athenagoras of Thermae in Venice

With due solemnity and according to the order of the Great and Holy Mother Church of Christ, on Thursday, 8 December 2022, the eve of the Feast of the Conception of the Holy Theotokos by Saint Anna, in the Holy Cathedral of Saint George of the Greek Orthodox of Venice, the ordination as Bishop of the His Grace Bishop Elect Athenagoras (Fasiolo) of Thermae, Assistant Bishop to His Eminence Metropolitan Polykarpos of Italy took place, who will be based at the Holy Monastery of Saint Barbara the Great Martyr in Montaner, Veneto.

Concelebrating with the Metropolitan of Italy were Their Eminences, Metropolitan Arsenios of Austria and Metropolitan Dimitrios of France and Their Graces, Auxiliary Bishops of Italy, Bishop George of Krateia (Napoli) and Bishop Dionysios of Kotyaios (Bologna).
