“OXI Day”: The student who marched alone in Apollonas, Naxos
One and only schoolgirl marched again this year in the celebration of the national anniversary of October 28, 1940, in Apollonas, Naxos.
Ephramina attends the sixth grade and is the only child in the school, in the picturesque village of Apollonas in Naxos.
The young student, proud and accompanied by her teacher, paraded in front of the few inhabitants of the village, who applauded her as she passed by.
Logically, however, this will be the one of the final parades in the village, as after the parade on March 25th and if there is no interest from parents, Apollonas’ school will be closed.
