Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew to visit the Roman Catholic Diocese of Caserta

His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew is paying a two-day official visit to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Caserta from Thursday, 1 May to Saturday, 3 May 2025, in response to a relevant invitation.
The Patriarch was invited on the occasion of the 1,700th anniversary of the First Ecumenical Council of Nicaea and will participate on 2 May 2025 in an ecumenical prayer with the presence of representatives of the Christian confessions of Campania. In the evening, at the Garibaldi Theatre, where His All-Holiness will give a speech on the theme “Hope, a gift of the Spirit.”
The Ecumenical Patriarch arrived in Naples yesterday at 7:30 p.m., hence the photographic snapshots that follow.
The Patriarchal Entourage includes His Grace Bishop Smaragdos of Daphnousia, His Grace Bishop Massimiliano Palinuro of the Roman Catholics in Constantinople, Patriarchal Deacon Father Barnabas, and The Honourable Mr. Antonios Grafiadelis, one of the Patriarchal officials.
Upon the arrival of the Ecumenical Patriarch at the Naples Airport, the Patriarchal Delegation was joined by His Eminence Metropolitan Polykarpos of Italy, and His Grace Bishop Georgios of Krateia, Assistant Bishop to the Metropolis of Italy.
