Hydra celebrates feast day of Saint Konstantinos the New-Martyr, Patron Saint of the Island
On Monday, 14 November 2022, the Matins and the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy were celebrated with splendor in the celebratory Holy Church of the Holy Glorious New Martyr Constantine of Hydra.
The Divine Word was preached didactically by His Eminence Metropolitan Ignatius of Dimitrias and Almyros
This was followed by the Doxology and litany of the Holy Icon, the holy skull and the holy relics of the New Martyr Saint Konstantinos, which ended by the port of the island.
On the platform, His Eminence Metropolitan Ephraim of Hydra, Spetses and Aegina thanked everyone for their presence, including the Minister of Shipping, the Deputy Governor, members of parliament, local authorities, schools and the Philharmonic band, and wished the blessing of the New Martyr Saint Konstantinos to all those present.
A multi-member choir chanted under the Direction of Professor Mr. Georgios Demelis.
