Festive Vespers of the summer feast of St. Anthony the New, Patron Saint of Veroia

On Sunday, July 31, in the afternoon, His Eminence Metropolitan Panteleimon of Veroia, Naousa and Kampania, officiated at the Festive Vespers of the summer festival of the Patron Saint of Veroia, Saint Anthony the New and the procession of the Holy Cross.

Before Vespers, the Metropolitan of Veroia, received the Holy Cross of the Komnenoi that is kept in the Panhellenic Holy Pilgrimage of Panagia Soumela in Vermio.

The Holy Cross was presented by the Protocyncellus of the Holy Metropolis and Hagoumen of the Holy Pilgrimage of Panagia Soumela Archimandrite Very Rev. Fr Athenagoras Birdas.

After the end of Vespers, there was a procession and litany of the Holy Relics of Saint Anthony and the Holy Cross in the streets of the city.
