Patriarchal Divine Liturgy at the Church of Saint Nicholas in Kolonaki, Athens

On Sunday, 11 May 2025, a Patriarchal Divine Liturgy was celebrated at the Church of Saint Nicholas of the Philanthropic Society of Athens in Kolonaki, on the occasion of the church’s 150th anniversary, and was officiated by His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.
The service was attended by several Metropolitans of the Ecumenical Patriarchate and the Church of Greece, as well as members of the country’s political leadership.
Among those present were His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia, His Eminence Elder Metropolitan Emmanuel of Chalcedon, His Eminence Metropolitan Theodoritos of Laodicea, Director of the Representative Office of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Athens, His Eminence Metropolitan Maximos of Ioannina, His Eminence Metropolitan Grigorios of Peristeri, and His Eminence Metropolitan Georgios of Guinea, representative of the Patriarchate of Alexandria in Athens.
Also attending were the President of the Hellenic Parliament Nikitas Kaklamanis, Minister of National Defence Nikolaos Dendias, Minister of the Interior Niki Kerameus, Governor of Mount Athos Alkiviadis Stefanis, Mayor of Athens Haris Doukas, shipowner Athanasios Martinos, and several Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate.
