Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew at the Sacrament of Holy Unction

On Great and Holy Wednesday, 16 April 2025, in the afternoon, His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew attended and prayed during the celebration of the Sacrament of Holy Unction, which was presided over by the Grand Protosyncellus Archimandrite Gregorios. Also present and joined in prayer were His Eminence Metropolitan Chrysostomos of Myra, the Ambassador Konstantinos Koutras, Consul General of Greece in Constantinople, and a large congregation. In the morning of the same day, the Patriarch officiated at the Divine Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts.

His All-Holiness also officiated at the Patriarchal Church, during:

a) The Divine Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts on Great and Holy Monday Morning, 14 April.

b) The Service of the Bridegroom on Great and Holy Monday afternoon.

c) The Service of the Bridegroom on Great and Holy Tuesday, 15 April.

During the Divine Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts, on the morning of Holy Tuesday, 15 April, His Eminence Metropolitan Theodoros of Seleucia officiated.
