Doxology Service for the beginning of the New Year at the Metropolitan Cathedral of Athens
The state, political and military leadership of Greece attended the Doxology Service on Wednesday morning at the Metropolitan Cathedral of Athens, which was officiated by His Beatitude Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece. The Doxology was attended, among others, by the President of the Hellenic Republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulou, the Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, the President of PASOK, Nikos Androulakis, the President of SYRIZA, Socrates Famellos, the Governor of Attica, Nikos Hardalias, and the Mayor of Athens, Haris Doukas.
The Parliament was represented by the First Vice President, Yiannis Plakiotakis, as the President of the Hellenic Parliament, Konstantinos Tasoulas, was diagnosed with coronavirus. Subsequently, the Prime Minister went to the Presidential Palace for the customary exchange of greetings with the President of the Hellenic Republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulou.
