Cold temperatures and local snowfall persist across Greece

Low temperatures are expected across Greece on Sunday, particularly in the eastern and northern parts of the country, with local snowfall in the mountainous areas of the east and possibly in lower altitude regions.
Temperatures will remain very low, ranging from -6 to 5 degrees Celsius in the north, occasionally reaching 7 degrees. In the eastern mainland and Evia, temperatures will range from -2 to 9 degrees, while in the west, they may locally reach 13 degrees Celsius. Frost will occur in places on the mainland, with severe conditions in the mountainous areas.
In the southern Ionian and western Peloponnese, increased cloud cover will bring local rains and sporadic storms over maritime and coastal areas.
In the rest of the country, only a few clouds will appear, with light local showers or snow mainly in Central Macedonia, Evia, the eastern Peloponnese and Crete.
A few snowfalls are expected in the mountainous regions and possibly at lower altitudes in Central Macedonia, the eastern Peloponnese and temporarily in Thessaly and Evia, as well as in the mountainous areas of Crete.
Winds will blow at force 3 to 5 in the western and northern regions and at force 4 to 5 in the rest of the country.
