Visit of the Ambassador of Greece to Australia to the Archdiocesan District of Brisbane
On Saturday, 27 May 2023, His Excellency, Ambassador of Greece to Australia, Mr. Georges Papacostas visited the offices of the Holy Archdiocese of Australia in Brisbane, joined by his wife, as well as the honorary secretary of the Honorary Consulate-General of Greece in Queensland, Mr. Bico Athanasas.
His Grace Bishop Emilianos of Meloa, on behalf of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia, warmly welcomed Mr. Papacostas along with his entourage at the offices of the Holy Archdiocese of Australia, conveying the prayers and wishes of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios to the distinguished guest.
After the offering of hospitality, the Greek Ambassador visited the Parish of Saint Paraskevi, where he admired the renovation of the Holy Church, the organisation and the different classes of the Day Care Centre, the Parish hall, which functioned as the first church, and the Greek School, where he admired the organisation of the three rooms based on the level of Greek language learning.
