The dates for the ordinations of the new Bishops of Australia have been set
It is with great pleasure that we announce to the faithful of the Holy Archdiocese of Australia that the ordinations of the new Bishops, who were elected at the last session of the Holy and Sacred Synod of our Ecumenical Patriarchate and taking into account the strict restrictions for dealing with the pandemic, will be the following:
Saturday, 13th November, the ordination of Bishop-elect Kyriakos of Sozopolis
Sunday, 14th November, the ordination of Bishop-elect Christodoulos of Magnesia
Saturday, 20th November, the ordination of Bishop-elect Evmenios of Kerasounta
Sunday, 21st November, the ordination of Bishop-elect Prochoros of Charioupolis
The Service of the Great Message, as well as the hierarchical ordinations, will take place at the Cathedral of the Annunciation of the Theotokos in Sydney. The hierarchical ordinations will be performed by His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia with other bishops who will be present and con-celebrating with him.
