Visit of the Rector of the Sokhumi State University to Halki seminary
The Rector of the Sokhumi State University, Georgia, paid an official visit to the Halki seminary today, surrounded by professors of the same university and his wife.
The visitors were received by the Abbot, Bishop Kassianos of Aravissos, and the brotherhood.
The Abbot had an extensive conversation with the visitors, during which the necessity of the reopening of the Theological School was discussed, about which the Georgian Academics showed particular interest, expressing their desire for cooperation between their University and the Theological School.
Afterwards, the visitors were guided to the premises of the School and attended a luncheon.
During their visit, the professors were accompanied by the Archimandrite of the Ecumenical Throne, Fr. Ilia Jinjolava.
