Victoria records 73 new cases of COVID-19

Victoria’s daily coronavirus numbers are in.

The state has recorded 73 new, locally acquired cases of COVID-19 and zero in hotel quarantine.

The Department of Health says of today’s cases, 52 have so far been linked to known outbreaks. This means there are, at this stage, 21 mystery cases.

Health officials did not say how many people were isolating for their entire infectious period. We’re expected to learn more at this morning’s press conference.

There are now 805 cases of COVID-19 across the state.

Today’s numbers are off the back of yesterday’s 41,395 coronavirus tests.
