Victoria records 50 new cases of COVID-19

Victoria’s daily coronavirus numbers are in.

The state has recorded 50 new, locally acquired cases of COVID-19 and one in hotel quarantine.

The Department of Health says 40 cases are linked to known outbreaks, which means there are – at this stage – 10 mystery cases under investigation.

Thirty-nine of the 50 local cases were not isolating while infectious.

There are now 522 active cases of coronavirus across Victoria.

Today’s numbers are off the back of yesterday’s 48,424 coronavirus tests.
