Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky communicated with Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew

Posting on Twitter, in Ukrainian and in English, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, announced on Thursday that he had contacted His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew,von the occasion of the 1034th Anniversary of the Baptism of the Rus-Ukrainians by the Mother Church of Constantinople.
Specifically, the Ukrainian President states:
“On the Day of the Christianisation of the Rus of Kiev-Ukraine & the Day of Ukrainian Statehood, I spoke with His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew. I thanked him for his prayers for Ukraine, for his wishes for victory and peace. I told him about the terrible crimes of the attacker, the destruction of almost 200 Holy Churches.”
