Trisagion for the late Ecumenical Patriarch Athenagoras at the Theological School of Halki

On Sunday, 7 July 2024, His Grace Bishop Kassianos of Aravissos, Abbot of the Monastery of the Holy Trinity, celebrated the Matins and Divine Liturgy at the church of the Theological School of Halki. After the Divine Liturgy, the Abbot conducted a Trisagion for the repose of the soul of the late Ecumenical Patriarch Athenagoras, an esteemed graduate of the School, marking the 52nd anniversary of his passing.

The service was attended by large groups of pilgrims from various regions of Greece, reflecting the deep reverence and respect for the late Patriarch.

Following the commemoration, Bishop Kassianos participated in a prayer service for the health of a group of pilgrims from Cyprus, led by Archimandrite Dimitrianos Demetriou. The Abbot welcomed the group to the School, sharing insights into its rich history and the significant contributions it has made to the Church over the years.
