The Vespers of Love at the Church of Saint Eustathios, Melbourne

On the Sunday of Great and Holy Pascha, 5 May 2024, the Vespers of Love took place with due splendour at the Church of Saint Eustathios in Melbourne. His Grace Bishop Kyriakos of Sozopolis, Archiepiscopal Vicar of Melbourne, presided over the Vespers and was accompanied by His Grace Bishop Themistocles of Nicopolis, of the Patriarchate of Alexandria, along with the clergy of the local Archdiocesan District. Among others, the Consul General of Greece in Melbourne, Mr. Emmanuel Kakavelakis, was also present.

During the Vespers, the Resurrection gospel passage of the day was read in seven languages. His Grace Bishop Kyriakos read the resurrection message of the Gospel (John 20: 19-25) in Greek, followed by: Bishop Themistocles in French, Fr. Christos Demolianis in English, Fr. Antonios Cagnoni in Italian, Fr. Dimitrios Katrinei in Romanian, Fr. Adamantios Kourambis in Turkish, Fr. George Adamakis in German and Fr. Dimitrios Drougas again in Greek.
