Then, the service of the 4th Stanza of the Salutations to the Theotokos was chanted by the choir of the Music School of Drama.

On Sunday, 14 April 2024, the fourth Sunday of Lent, the Synaxis of Saint George the new confessor was celebrated with a Poly-Hierarchical Divine Liturgy, which was presided over by His Eminence Metropolitan Damaskinos of Didymoteicho and was joined in concelebration by His Eminence Timotheos of Thessaliotis and Fanariofersala and the local Hierarch, His Eminence Metropolitan Dorotheos of Drama. Prior to the dismissal of the Liturgy, the Egkomia Hymns of Saint George Karslidis were chanted, and this was followed by a procession of his Holy Relics.

The reliquary of Saint George was accompanied in procession, with ecclesiastical order and splendour, by the priests of the city, the abbess and the nuns of the Holy Monastery of the Ascension of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, civil and military authorities, representatives of local schools and cultural associations and a multitude of believers, who waited patiently to venerate the grace-flowing Holy Relics.
