The Sunday of Orthodoxy at the Church of Saint Eustathios, Melbourne

On the Sunday of Orthodoxy, 24 March 2024, the commemoration of the Restoration of the Holy Icons was celebrated with splendour in the Archdiocesan District of Melbourne.

The centre of the celebration of this important feast day, which marks the triumph of the Orthodox faith over the iconoclasts, was the Church of Saint Eustathios, where His Grace Bishop Kyriakos of Sozopolis presided over the Divine Liturgy, and was joined by His Grace Bishop Themistocles of Nicopolis, of the Patriarchate of Alexandria, and was also assisted by Father Kyrillos Zissis and Father Dimitrios Drougas.

At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, Bishop Kyriakos spoke to the congregation about the great feast day of Orthodoxy and conveyed to all the blessings and wishes of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia.
