The Second Stanza of the Salutations to the Theotokos at the Church of Saint George, Makrochorion, Constantinople

On Friday, 14 March 2025, the Service of the Second Stanza of the Salutations to the Most Holy Theotokos took place at the Church of Saint George, Makrochorion, in Constantinople, and was officiated by His Eminence Elder Metropolitan Apostolos of Derkoi.

The Service was attended by the Secretary General of the Ministry of the Interior of Greece, Mr. Athanasios Balerbas, who is on a personal visit to Constantinople on the occasion of the conference for the anniversary of the celebrations of the 1700th anniversary of the First Ecumenical Council in Nicaea. Among the faithful was also the assistant professor of the Department of History and Archaeology of the University of Patras, Ms. Konstantina Karakosta, with members of her family, who was a speaker at the aforementioned conference.
