The Salutations to the Theotokos at the Church of Panagia Mouchliotissa for the Great School of the Nation

On Friday, 29 March 2024, students, teachers and staff of the Patriarchal Great School of the Nation, in Constantinople, attended the Service of the Salutations at the neighbourhood Church of Panagia Mouchliotissa.

The Service of the 2nd Stanza of the Salutations to the Theotokos took place and was officiated by the Hierarchical Vicar of the Phanar and Golden Horn District, His Grace Bishop Adrianos of Halicarnassus, who was joined by Father Athanasios and Father Samuel.

The students of the School, Olga and Adriana, intoned the final prayers of the small compline to the Mother of God and Our Lord Jesus Christ, who also after the service were congratulated and paternally wished by Bishop Adrianos.

Then, addressing the students of the School and the pilgrims present, Bishop Adrianos referred to the supreme importance of the Virgin Mary for the Orthodox Church and conveyed the love, wishes and blessings of the Venerable Primate of the Ecumenical Throne, His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.

From the Patriarchal Great School of the Nation, warm thanks were expressed to the Hierarchical Vicar and the priests, as well as to the members of the ecclesiastical committee of the Church of Panagia Mouchliotissa, led by the president Mr. Panagiotis Chanidis, for the hospitality they offered, as well as wishes to everyone for a good remainder of Great and Holy Lent.
