The new Civil Administrator of Mount Athos visited the Ecumenical Patriarch

On Wednesday, 10 January 2024, His Excellency Ambassador Anastasios Mitsialis, who was recently appointed by the Greek Government as the new Civil Administrator of Mount Athos, paid a visit to the seat of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Constantinople.
During the visit, the new Administrator paid his respects to His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and Hierarch of Mount Athos, seeking his patriarchal blessing for the diverse responsibilities which he is about to undertake.

The Patriarch conveyed his wishes to the new Civil Administrator for a fruitful tenure on Mount Athos, which has been for many centuries under the direct ecclesiastical jurisdiction of the Ecumenical Patriarchate.
