The new Ambassador of Greece in Belgium meets with Metropolitan Athenagoras

On Wednesday morning, 10 January 2024, His Eminence Metropolitan Athenagoras of Belgium and Exarch of the Netherlands and Luxemburg, received the new Ambassador of Greece to Belgium, Her Excellency Ms. Sofia Grammata at the headquarters of the Holy Metropolis in Brussels.

Her Excellency Ambassador Grammata, shortly after assuming her Ambassadorial duties, wanted to pay her respects to Metropolitan Athenagoras and receive the wishes of the local Church for a successful term in her responsibilities. At the same time, she had the opportunity to be informed about the presence of the Orthodox in Belgium, and she expressed the wish for the continuation of the good cooperation between the Greek Embassy and the Metropolis, for the good of the diaspora.

His Eminence Metropolitan Athenagoras thanked the Ambassador for her ceremonial visit and wished her a pleasant stay and a blessed tenure for the defence of the rights of Greece in the centre of Europe.
