The memory of Patriarch Gregory V of Constantinople commemorated at the Phanar

On Saturday, 13 April 2024, His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew officiated at the Venerable Patriarchal Church of Saint George during the Divine Liturgy of Saint John Chrysostom on the commemoration of the memory of his Martyr Predecessor, Saint Gregory V. Following this, His All-Holiness then venerated and prayed at the place of his martyrdom, the Closed Gate, where he lit a candle and laid flowers.

Similarly, the members of the Patriarchal Court and other pilgrims venerated the place of martyrdom and asked for the blessing of the Hieromartyr.
