The Holy Cincture of the Theotokos is taken to the Ammochostos General Hospital

On Wednesday, 7 February 2024, the Abbot of the Holy Monastery of Vatopedi, Elder Ephraim, brought the Holy Cincture of the Most Holy Theotokos as a blessing to the patients and staff of the General Hospital of the free Province of Ammochostos.

As part of the visit, a prayer for health was recited in the presence of patients, doctors and nursing staff, who reverently venerated the holy relic of the Mother of God. After all, the countless miracles of the Holy Cincture are known, to which both Elder Ephraim and the Vatopedi Fathers witness daily.

Elder Ephraim also had the opportunity to see Ammochostos (Famagusta), as well as a part of the Occupied Territories, from the terrace of the Hospital.
