The “final farewell” to Metropolitan Paul of Drama+

In an atmosphere of deep emotions, Yesterday, 3 May 2002, the Funeral service for the late Metropolitan Paul of Drama of blessed memory took place at the Holy Metropolitan Church of the Entrance of the Theotokos, in Drama, Greece.

At the funeral service, His Beatitude, Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and all Greece presided along with many Hierarchs from the Church of Greece.

It is also noted that the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew has represented by the Locum Tenens of the Holy Metropolis of Drama, His Eminence Metropolitan Panteleimon of Xanthis, whilst Patriarch Theophilos of Jerusalem was represented by His Eminence Metropolitan Isychios of Kapitolias.

Also, on behalf of the Holy Synod of the Church of Greece, the Eulogy was pronounced by the Secretary of the Holy Synod of the Church of Greece, His Grace Bishop Philotheos of Oreoi

Finally, after the conclusion of the Funeral Service, the burial service of Metropolitan Paul took place at the Holy Monastery of the Ascencion of our Lord, in Sipsa
