The glorious Resurrection of Christ was celebrated with ecclesiastical splendour in the Holy Metropolis of Derkoi

On Great and Holy Saturday, 4 May, the Service of the Resurrection took place at the Holy Church of Saint Stephanos, in the same-named Community of Yeşilköy, and was presided over by His Eminence Elder Metropolitan Apostolos of Derkoi.

After the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, a paschal reception followed in the hall of the Community.

On the morning of Great and Holy Pascha, in the midst of a crowd of people, in the Holy Church of Saint George of the Makrohorion Community, the Vespers of Love were held, presided over by His Eminence Elder Metropolitan Apostolos of Derkoi, with the participation of believers from Constantinople and abroad, as well as students (undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral) of the Theological School of the Marmara State University of Constantinople, as observers, with whom Elder Metropolitan Apostolos had a warm conversation.

In the afternoon, the Vespers of Love were celebrated in the Holy Church of Saint Paraskevi of the Vathyrriakos Community, presided over by His Eminence Elder Metropolitan Apostolos of Derkoi. After the end of the Vespers, an Easter reception followed.

It is worth noting that the Holy Gospel was read in 8 languages and there were also representatives of other Christian denominations for the Vespers.
