The Feast Day of the Sacred Spring of Saint Paraskevi at Megalo Revma

Message from the Community of Megalo Revma

The memory of the renowned and miraculous Saint Paraskevi was celebrated again this year at the Sacred Spring of the Saint, which is located in the precinct of our Community Church of the Holy Archangels.

On Tuesday afternoon, 25 July 2023, the Great Vespers of the Saint took place along with the blessing of the Five Loaves (Artoklasia) for the health of all the parishioners.  On Wednesday morning, 26 July 2023, the Matins and Divine Liturgy took place.

His Eminence Metropolitan Athenagoras of Kydonia, Hierarchical Vicar of the Megalo Revma Community, presided over both the Vespers and Divine Liturgy, while also referring to the life of the honoured Saint during his homilies.

The parishioners and pilgrims, both on the eve and on the day of the feast, received the heartfelt care and hospitality of our Philoptochos Association, to which belong the heartfelt thanks of us all.

We wish all who celebrate this feast day, Many blessed years, may Saint Paraskevi intercede for us all and may we celebrate this feast day again with health and joy.
