The Feast Day of the Monastery of Saint Basil the Great in Jerusalem
On Tuesday, 14 January 2025, the memory of Saint Basil the Great was celebrated (according to the old calendar) in the Holy Monastery dedicated to his memory, located near the New Gate of the Old City of Jerusalem. The Feast Day celebrations took place with the care, preparation and hospitality of the Abbot and Elder Kamarasis, Archimandrite Fr. Nektarios, with Vespers in the evening and Divine Liturgy in the morning, led by the Master of Ceremonies of the Patriarchates, Archimandrite Fr. Bartholomew, with the chanting offered by the monastics of the Patriarchate and the joint prayer of monks, monastics and Jerusalemite faithful.
During the Divine Liturgy, His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilos of Jerusalem, visited the Holy Monastery with the Holy Sepulchre Fathers in order to venerate the Holy Church.
