The Feast Day of the Church of the Annunciation of Our Lady in Melbourne

On Monday, 25 March 2024, the day of the great feast of the Annunciation of Our Lady, the Theotokos, His Grace Bishop Kyriakos of Sozopolis, Archiepiscopal Vicar of Melbourne, liturgised at the celebrating Church of the Annunciation of Our Lady in the suburb of East Melbourne.

His Grace Bishop Themistocles of Nicopolis, of the Patriarchate of Alexandria, concelebrated the Divine Liturgy with Bishop Kyriakos, while they were also joined by the Parish Priest, Father Antonios Vanikiotis, Father Dimitrios Drougas and also by Father George El-Khoury, from the Antiochian Orthodox Church of Saint Nicholas in East Melbourne.

At the end of the Divine Liturgy and after the Doxology for the Anniversary of the Greek Revolution of 1821 took place, His Grace Bishop Kyriakos of Sozopolis conveyed to the congregation the wishes and blessings of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia.

This was followed by a festive meal, where the Bishop Kyriakos sat together with the members of the Greek Community of Melbourne, including the President Mr. Bill Papastergiadis and Mr. Andrew Andrianopoulos.
