The Feast day of Saint Porphyrios of Kafsokalyvia at the Metropolis of Derkoi

With due ecclesiastical splendour, on Saturday, 2 December 2023, the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy took place at the Church of Saint Paraskevi, Vathyryakos, of the Holy Metropolis of Derkoi, presided over by the local Shepherd, His Eminence Elder Metropolitan Apostolos of Derkoi, on the occasion of the feast day of the newly-revealed Saint Prophyrios of Kafsokalyvia, during which the parish priest, Father Porphyrios Karatzikos, celebrates his name day.

The sacred hymns of the feast day were chanted by Archon Ieronymon of the Holy Great Church of Christ and Archon Protopsaltis of the Holy Metropolis of Derkoi, Mr. Antonios Hatzopoulos, and by local chanter, Ms. Ioanna Grigoriadou, as well as by chanters from Greece, Mr. Vasileios Melissourgos and Mr. Ioannis Triantafillopoulos, who were visiting Constantinople for the recent Thronal Feast Day of Apostle Andrew at the headquarters of the Ecumenical Patriarchate.
