On Sunday morning, 21 January 2024, the feast day divine liturgy for Saint Maximus the Greek took place at the Church of Saint Maximus in Arta, Greece. The Divine Liturgy was concelebrated by His Eminence Metropolitan Georgios of Kitros, Katerini and Platamon and His Eminence Metropolitan Kallinikos of Arta.

His Eminence Metropolitan Georgios of Kitros, Katerini and Platamon preached the holy sermon, referring to the difficulties faced by Saint Maximus the Greek, and emphasised that “in difficulties the man of God shines more”.
