The Feast Day of Saint John Chrysostom, Archbishop of Constantinople, at the Ecumenical Patriarchate

On Monday, 13 November 2023, His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew officiated from the second-throne at the Divine Liturgy which took place on the feast day of Saint John Chrysostom, Archbishop of Constantinople, at the Patriarchal Church of Saint George, Phanar. According to tradition, the icon of Saint John Chrysostom and the Patriarchal Staff were placed on the Patriarchal Throne, while his holy relics were also placed out for veneration by the faithful.

Their Eminences, Metropolitan Chrysostomos of Myra, who celebratesd his name day, Metropolitan Stephanos of Kallioupolis and Madytos, Metropolitan Athenagoras of Kydonia, and Metropolitan Ioakeim of Bursa, as well as His Grace Bishop Adrianos of Halicarnassus, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece, Ms. Alexandra Papadopoulou, His Excellency Ambassador Konstantinos Koutras, Consul General of Greece in Constantinople, faithful from Constantinople and pilgrims from abroad also attended the service.
