The Feast Day of Saint George the Great Martyr at the Metochion of the Holy Sepulchre in Neochorion on the Bosporus

With ecclesiastical solemnity, the feast day of the translation and placing of the Holy Body of Saint George the Great Martyr and Trophy Bearer in Lydda, was celebrated at the Holy Church of Saint George, which is one of the Metochia of the Holy Sepulchre in the Queen of Cities, Constantinople. The chanters of the Neochorion Community chanted the sacred hymns of the feast day most fervently.

At the end of the Divine Liturgy, a Memorial Service was held, for the repose of the soul of the parishioner, Mr. Ioannis Klimentakis, who had recently fallen asleep in the Lord, and for the victims of the tragedy, who were sadly killed during the raid on the Holy Monastery of Saint Porphyrios in Gaza.

This was followed by a small meal in the Metochion hall, during which there was a good opportunity for personal communication between the parishioners and the visitors from Greece.
