The Feast Day of Saint Arsenios of Paros

With particular devotion, the Faithful of Paros celebrated their protector and patron of the Holy Monastery of Christos sto dasos (Christ in the Woods), Saint Arsenius the miracle worker.

On Tuesday morning, 31 January 2023, His Eminence Metropolitan Kallinikos of Paronaxia visited the celebrating Holy Monastery of Christos sto dasos – Saint Arsenios, where he presided over the Matins Service and officiated at the Divine Liturgy, where he was joined by many clergymen of the Island. Protosyncellus of the Holy Metropolis, Archimandrite Dorotheos Venetsanopoulos preached the homily for the feast day.

Before the Dismissal of the Divine Liturgy, around the surroundings of the Holy Church of the honoured Saint, the Litany of the Holy Icon and his grace-giving Holy Relics took place.

After praying the  Trisagion Memorial Service over the tomb of the pioneer of the construction of the Holy Church, blessed Father Konstantinos Theologitis and the blessed Abbess of the Holy Monastery, Nun Arsenia, a prayer service was held at the entrance of the Holy Church, at the end of which His Eminence thanked the local officials for their participation, led by the Mayor of Paros, Mr. Markos Kovaios, the Priests and the faithful, while he did not fail to congratulate the President of the construction Committee, Archimandrite Ioannis Haniotis and his colleagues for the preparation of the feast day as well as the Chanters Mr. Zacharias Ragousis and Mr. Marios Kyriakou, who with their choirs enhanced and brightened the worship for the feast day.

His Eminence Metropolitan Kallinikos wished everyone the abundant blessing of Saint Arsenios in their families and in all their works.
