The Ecumenical Patriarch presides over the funeral service for the late Patriarch of Bulgaria

His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew presided over the funeral service for the late Patriarch Neophyte of Bulgaria, which was held today in the Cathedral of Saint Alexander Nevsky in Sofia, in which the Hierarchs of the Church of Bulgaria took part, as well as Hierarchs representing other Orthodox Autocephalous Churches.
His All-Holiness arrived shortly after 10 am, local time, at the Cathedral of Saint Alexander Nevsky, in Sofia, where he venerated the body of the Late Patriarch Neophyte of Bulgaria.
Afterwards, he attended and prayed during the Divine Liturgy which was celebrated by His Eminence Metropolitan Ioannis of Varni and Great Preslava with the participation of Hierarchs of the Church of Bulgaria.
