The draft bill on the vote of Greeks abroad is in public consultation

On Monday, 10 July 2023, the draft law for the vote of Greek Expatriates will be posted for public consultation, which was announced by the Prime Minister of Greece, Mr. Kyriakos Mitsotakis, during recent programmatic statements.

According to information from the Ministry of the Interior, a dialogue with the parties will follow and the goal is to have the bill passed before the closing of the Parliament, being the end of July.

The draft law abolishes all restrictions on the vote of the Greek Expatriates and therefore all Greeks living abroad who are registered in the electoral rolls will be able to vote at their place of residence.
