The cutting of the Vasilopita at the renowned Stavrodromi Community in Constantinople

In an atmosphere of joy and celebration, the renowned Community of Stavrodromi in Constantinople held the cutting of the tradition Vasilopita. With the blessings of the Hierarchical Vicar of Stavrodromi, His Eminence Metropolitan Andreas of Forty Churches and the priests of the Community, the traditional custom of cutting the vasilopita was carried out, in the presence of the entire Board of Trustees, workers and friends of the Community at the Church of the Holy Trinity.

His Eminence Metropolitan Andreas wished health, prosperity, achievement of the community’s and personal resolutions, while he did not fail to thank the tireless workers for the work they offer. The attendees sang the traditional New Year’s carols accompanied by the guitar of Mr. Kotsias and tasted the sweets offered by the Community Board of Trustees. Ms. Andrianna Nikoltsoudi, was found to be blessed on the last day of the year as she found the customary coin within her portion of the Vasilopita.
