The blessing and cutting of the Vasilopita at ‘Saint Basil’s Aged Care Facility’ in Melbourne

On Thursday, 11 January, His Grace Bishop Evmenios of Kerasounta, Archiepiscopal Vicar of Northcote, visited the Saint Basil’s Aged Care Facility in the suburb of Fawkner in Melbourne, and in a modest service blessed the traditional Vasilopita in the presence of the residents and staff of Saint Basil’s.

Bishop Evmenios, who is also the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Organisation, offered his personal wishes to all present for the new year 2024 and at the same time conveyed the paternal interest, as well as the love and heartfelt wishes of their Shepherd, His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia.

His Grace also thanked the staff members for the dedication they show in carrying out their work, while he assured that the support of the Saint Basil’s Aged Care Facility in Fawkner is at the top of the priorities of the Holy Archdiocese of Australia.
