The Vatopedi Metochion of Apostle Andrew of Galata, in Constantinople, was recently visited by the Athonias Ecclesiastical School, lead by Father Georgios Vatopedinos and Father Artemios, along with teachers and students, who all attended the Divine Liturgy that took place during the visit.
Also present for the reception and Divine Liturgy was His Eminence Metropolitan Ioakeim of Bursa.
At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, Father Georgios Vatopedinos conveyed to all the faithful the prayers and wishes of the Abbot of the Great and Holy Vatopedi Monastery on Mount Athos, Archimandrite Ephraim, and the blessing of Our Lady, the Theotokos, patroness and protector of the Holy Mountain.
Welcoming the visitors with warm words, the Dean of the Church, the Grand Preacher, Archimandrite Panaretos, conveyed the wishes and blessings of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.
During the Divine Liturgy, the choir of the Church chanted passionately, under the direction of Ms. Anna Satalinas, while hymns were also chanted by the students of the Athonias Ecclesiastical School. The Divine Liturgy was followed by a customary reception in the adjacent hall of the Church.
