The Archons of Constantinople host a dinner in honour of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew

On Tuesday, 27 February 2024, the Archons of the Great Church of Christ in Constantinople, hosted a celebratory dinner at a central hotel of the City on the occasion of the 84th birthday of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.

Present for the birthday celebrations were: Their Eminences, Metropolitan Theodoritos of Laodicea, Director of the Representative Office of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Athens, Metropolitan Polykarpos of Italy, Metropolitan Ignatios of Demetrias, Metropolitan Evangelos of Sardis, Metropolitan Apostolos of New Jersey, the Grand Protosyncellus Archimandrite Gregorios, Ambassador His Excellency Konstantinos Koutras, Consul General of Greece in Constantinople, with his wife, the University Professor Mr. Ioannis Ktistakis, judge at the European Court of Human Rights, the President of the Ecumenical Federation of Constantinople, Mr. Nikolaos Ouzounoglou and the Archons of the City.

Greetings were addressed by the following Archons: Professor Mr. D. Iliopoulos, on behalf of the “Panagia Pammakaristos” Brotherhood of Archons, the president of the Ecumenical Federation of Constantinople, Prof. Nikolaos Ouzounoglou, Mr. Ioakeim Kambouropoulos, on behalf of the Imbros Community, Mr. Stamatis Kissas, on behalf of the Musician Associations of Constantinople, Mr. Dimitrios Yiotef, president of the Bulgarian Community and Mr. Ioannis Demirtzoglou, on behalf of the Association for the Support of Greek Community Institutions and the educational community. Professor Mr. Ioannis Ktistakis also addressed a greeting.

In addition to the birthday cake for His All-Holiness, another one was cut, for the birthday, also on February 29, of Professor and Archon Mr. Georgios Stephanopoulos, from Chalcedon.
