The Ambassador of Greece to Australia visits the offices of the Archdiocesan District of Perth

On Monday, 11 December 2023, the Ambassador of Greece to Australia, H.E. Mr. Georges Papacostas and his wife, Ms. Gohar Badalyan, visited the Archdiocesan District of Perth offices.

On behalf of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia, His Grace Bishop Elpidios of Kyanea, warmly welcomed the Ambassador and his wife, who were accompanied by the Consul of Greece in Perth, Ms. Georgia Karasiotou.

Following the fruitful discussion that took place in His Grace’s office, the Ambassador received a tour throughout the entire Archdiocese premises which included the St Basil’s Aged Care offices and Day Care Centre for the elderly, as well as the Church of Saint Nektarios, located adjacent to the Perth District Offices.

During his stay in Perth, the Ambassador will also visit the WA Museum, meet with the Lord Mayor, Mr. Vasilios (Basil) Zempilas, and attend the Hologram Concert of Maria Callas at the Perth Concert Hall, along with his colleague the Ambassador of the European Union to Australia, H.E. Mr. Gabriele Visentin.
