Strong earthquake hits south of Crete

A 4.7-magnitude earthquake has struck south of Crete and felt throughout the island, Athens-based Institute of Geodynamics reports.
The tremor occurred at 10:36 p.m. 23km south/southwest of the port of Kaloi Limenes, near the island’s southernmost point at a depth of 19.5 kilometers, the Institute reported.
There have been no reports of damages so far.
