Program for Epiphany celebration in Sydney

On Sunday, 7 January 2024, the annual service of the Blessing of the Waters with the Holy Cross will take place in Sydney.

The service, in which all the Orthodox parishes and communities of Sydney will take part, will take place at Carss Bush Park (Carwar Avenue, Carss Park).

His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia will preside over the service, while a multitude of youth will also participate and attempt to retrieve the Holy Cross from the waters.

The starting time for the Blessing of the Waters Service will be 1:00pm, while the Annual Epiphany Greek Festival will follow, with a rich festive program.
