PM Mitsotakis in Paris: Greece and France deepening strategic collaboration
Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis told Greece’s national broadcaster ERT that “we are heading towards a substantial deepening of the strategic collaboration between Greece and France,” speaking from the French capital Paris on Monday evening.
Replying to a reporter’s question on how close the two countries are to signing a defense agreement, the Greek premier noted that he will be holding a lengthy discussion with French President Emmanuel Macron tonight, and that announcements will be made on Tuesday morning.
Currently in Paris for the opening of the exhibition ‘Paris-Athens: Birth of Modern Greece’ at the Louvre Museum, Mitsotakis will be received by President Macron at the Louvre. The two leaders will inaugurate the exhibition together and then have a working dinner at the Palais des Champs-Elysees.
