Phanar: Program for the Name Day celebrations of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew

On the occasion of the commemoration of the memory of the Apostles Bartholomew and Barnabas, where His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew celebrates his Patronal Feast Day, His All-Holiness will officiate at the Feast Day Vespers, on Monday, 10 June 2024, beginning at 6:00pm in the Venerable Patriarchal Church of Saint George in the Phanar.

As indicated in the relevant announcement, the Patriarch will then perform the Agiasmos (Sanctification Service) for the completion of the renovation of the Marasleion School located next to the Patriarchal Church. After the end of the Sanctification Service, a reception will be held in the premises of the School, during which His All-Holiness will receive the respect and well wishes of the clergy and the faithful people for his name day celebration.

On the next day, Tuesday, 11 June 2024, His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew will officiate from the throne during the Divine Liturgy of the feast day which will take place at the Venerable Patriarchal Church at the Phanar, where he will be joined by the Holy Hierarchs from Constantinople and those coming from abroad.

After the dismissal of the Divine Liturgy, the Ecumenical Patriarch will be addressed by the first in order of the Holy Hierarchs, His Eminence Elder Metropolitan Emmanuel of Chalcedon, and His All-Holiness will duly respond to the wishes and address.
