Perth: The Third Service of the Salutations to the Holy Theotokos

On Friday, 5 April 2024, with the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia, His Grace Bishop Elpidios of Kyanea Presided over the Service of the 3rd Stanza of the Salutations to the Holy Theotokos at the Church of Sts Constantine and Helene in Perth WA.

His Grace preached the sacred homily during the service and focussed on the Theotokarion which is a liturgical book with a large collection of 62 Canons to the Mother of God, collected by Saint Nicodemus the Athonite from manuscripts of Mount Athos and from twenty great hymn writers of our Church.

At the conclusion of the service, His Grace wished a blessed and remaining fruitful lent to all, reminding them that on the Third Sunday of Lent, the Church celebrates the Veneration of the Holy Cross, marking the midpoint of our Lenten journey towards Pascha.
