Perth: Matins of the Bridegroom at the Church of Saints Constantine and Helene

On the evening of Palm Sunday, with the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia, His Grace Bishop Elpidios of Kyanea, presided at the first Bridegroom Service at the Church of Saints Constantine and Helene in Perth. 

In his sermon, His Grace stated: “We are called to live a holy life during the whole of Lent, however during Holy Week the Church invites us to experience an even more holy and spiritual life where we are asked to cleanse our souls from sin, and to adorn the garment of our souls with works of virtue. This Week is called Holy because of its meaning and content, but we must also make it holy by engaging in a more intense spiritual life”.

At the end of the service His Grace Bishop Elpidios of Kyanea conveyed to all the paternal blessings of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia for a blessed Pascha.
