Taste Atlas, which has yet to announce the winner of its 100 best food regions for 2024, named Peloponnese as second on the list, recommending the Greek region for its pork dishes, olive oil and fir honey from Mt. Mainalo in Arcadia, central Peloponnese.
The guide also highlighted provincial city Kalamata and ancient Olympia as must-visit Peloponnese destinations.
Italy’s Emilia-Romagna region captured third place on the Taste Atlas list, celebrated for its diverse renditions of Ragù Bolognese slow-cooked meat sauce. China’s Sichuan, renowned for its noodles, was ranked fourth.
