Patriarch Theophilos of Jerusalem visited the Holy Monastery of the Holy Cross

On Thursday, March 14, 2024, His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilos of Jerusalem visited the Holy Monastery of the Holy Cross, located in West Jerusalem, opposite the Jewish Knesset.

During this visit, Patriarch Theophilos assigned the abbotship of the Monastery to the Reverend Archimandrite Christodoulos, ministering to the Patriarchate on secondment from the Holy Metropolis of Patra.

The visit to the Monastery by the representative of the American Consulate, George Noll, responsible for Palestinian affairs, also coincided with this day.

Patriarch Theophilos received Mr. Noll, and in the presence of Mr. Stavros Andreou, conservator of icons and manuscripts, He toured the premises of the Monastery and the treasures of the Library, in which a remarkable conservation work is being carried out, in view of the establishment of a Biblical Research Centre in it.
